Benefits of Teeth In A Day

Teeth the Same Day

In many cases, you leave the day of your implant surgery with a fixed set of teeth instead of waiting months.

Planned by a Prosthodontist

Dr. Buitrago completed a three-year prosthodontics residency, which is specialty training in replacing and restoring teeth.

One Doctor Throughout

You see Dr. Buitrago at every visit, from your first exam to your final teeth.

On-Site Dental Lab

Our in-house lab lets us adjust and refine your new teeth right here in our Coral Springs office.

Steady, Secure Bite

Teeth anchored to implants stay in place, so you can speak and eat without worrying about slipping.

Teeth In A Day is a full-arch implant treatment for adults and seniors who are missing most of their teeth, have failing teeth, or are tired of a loose denture, and who want a fixed set of teeth placed on the same day as their implants. Picture a patient who has been patching the same upper teeth for years. Crowns keep breaking, a partial no longer fits, and chewing has become a careful routine. Instead of months without teeth, this approach lets that patient leave our Coral Springs office with a fixed provisional arch on the day the implants go in.

Teeth In A Day uses several dental implants placed across the upper or lower jaw to support a full arch of fixed teeth. You may also hear related terms like All-on-4, full arch, or full mouth dental implants. Unlike a removable denture, the teeth are attached to the implants and stay in place when you eat and speak. The first set is a provisional arch. It lets the implants heal while you function with teeth that look natural.

This treatment is planned and restored by Dr. Renan Buitrago, DDS, a prosthodontist, meaning a dentist with three additional years of specialty training in replacing and restoring teeth. He earned dental degrees from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2000 and New York University in 2008, completed NYU's advanced program in prosthodontics and dental implants, and finished a three-year prosthodontics residency at New York Hospital Queens, affiliated with Cornell, in 2011. He received the Gersten Award and has owned this practice on North University Drive since 2014.

This option often fits people whose remaining teeth cannot be saved, people with advanced gum disease, and longtime denture wearers who want something fixed. It can also help someone facing a full mouth rehabilitation who would rather replace an entire arch than restore tooth by tooth. Each situation is different, so the right choice depends on your bone, your health, and your goals.

Some patients are better served by other options we provide, such as implant-supported dentures that snap in and out, implant-supported bridges, conventional dentures, or partials. Because one specialist handles all of these in-house, you get a recommendation based on what suits your mouth, not on a single product.

What should I know before deciding on Teeth In A Day?

The most important step is a thorough evaluation, because bone volume, gum health, and your medical history all shape the plan. Some patients need extractions first, and some need bone grafting to support the implants. We perform simple and surgical extractions and bone grafting in our office.

Here are a few practical points patients often ask about:

  • You see Dr. Buitrago at every visit, from planning through your final teeth.
  • Complex cases are planned and restored in-house rather than referred out.
  • Our on-site dental lab supports the fit and adjustment of your new teeth.
  • Oral sedation is available for patients who feel anxious about treatment.
  • Our team speaks Spanish, so you can talk through your plan in the language you prefer.

Planning matters because the provisional arch must fit your bite, your face, and your speech. Dr. Buitrago also offers cosmetic smile design consultations, so tooth shape and shade are part of the conversation from the start.

What is recovery and aftercare like?

Expect a healing period of several months while the implants bond with the bone, and during that time you will follow a softer diet and our care instructions. We schedule follow-up visits to check healing and adjust your provisional teeth as needed. Mild soreness and swelling are common in the first days, and we explain how to manage them before you go home.

Once healing is complete, your provisional arch is replaced with your final teeth. Long-term care looks a lot like caring for natural teeth: daily cleaning at home and regular professional visits. Our hygienist provides cleanings and periodontal maintenance to help keep the gums and implants healthy. If something chips or loosens, call us, because we offer emergency appointments.

How can I pay for Teeth In A Day?

We accept all major PPO insurance plans and also welcome self-pay patients. Coverage for implant treatment varies by plan, and our team can help you understand your benefits before you commit.

For the remaining balance, we offer CareCredit, 0% and low-interest financing options, and all major credit cards. We give you a clear treatment plan so you can review the costs and choose a payment approach that works for your household.
