If you have crowns, bridges or other dental work, your aligner plan can account for it from the start.

Flexible Payment Options

We accept major PPO plans, self-pay, CareCredit, 0% and low-interest financing, and all major credit cards.

Invisalign is a system of clear, removable aligners that gradually move teeth into better positions, and we offer it at our Coral Springs office for teens and adults who want straighter teeth without metal brackets and wires. Each aligner is a thin, custom-shaped tray worn over your teeth. You switch to a new set on a schedule, and each set moves your teeth a little further. Because the trays come out, you can eat normally and keep brushing and flossing the way you always have.

Invisalign can help many people whose teeth are crowded, spaced apart, or slightly out of line. Common reasons patients ask us about it include teeth that overlap and are hard to floss, gaps that have opened over time, and teeth that have drifted since braces years ago. Some adults simply want an even smile before an important event. Others want their teeth better aligned before other dental work.

That last group matters to us. Dr. Buitrago is a prosthodontist, a dentist with three additional years of specialty training in replacing and restoring teeth. When a patient is also considering crowns, veneers, bonding, or a bridge, having the teeth in a better position first can make that restorative plan simpler. Because you see the same doctor at every visit, your aligner treatment and any later restorative work are planned together in one office.

Not every bite is a good match for aligners, and the only way to know is an exam. When you come in, we look at how your teeth fit together, the health of your gums, and any existing fillings, crowns, or missing teeth. Healthy gums are important, since teeth move through the bone and gum tissue that support them. If we find decay or gum disease, we treat that first. Our office provides cleanings, fillings, and gum disease treatment, so that work can happen right here.

Commitment is the other big factor. Aligners only move teeth while they are in your mouth. Patients who do well with Invisalign are the ones who wear their trays as directed and take them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean their teeth. If you know you will be tempted to leave them in a case on the counter, we would rather talk about it honestly before you start.

How do I take care of my aligners and teeth during treatment?

You take care of them with a few simple daily habits. Food and sugary drinks trapped under a tray sit against your teeth for hours, so cleaning is not optional. These habits make the biggest difference:

  • Brush and floss before putting your aligners back in after meals
  • Rinse your aligners and clean them gently each day
  • Drink only plain water while wearing them
  • Keep them in their case whenever they are out of your mouth
  • Keep your regular cleanings and exams with our hygienist

It is normal to feel some pressure for a day or two when you switch to a new set. That pressure means the trays are working. If a tray cracks, gets lost, or a tooth feels unusually sore, call our office so we can advise you on what to do next.

How long do Invisalign results last?

Results last as long as you keep your teeth in their new position, which is why retention is part of every plan. Teeth can naturally shift over time, especially in the months right after treatment ends. Before you finish, we will talk through how to protect the alignment you worked for.

The length of treatment itself depends on how much your teeth need to move. A mild spacing issue usually involves fewer aligners than significant crowding. We will give you a realistic picture at your consultation, based on your own exam rather than a general estimate. Ongoing preventive visits also let us check that your teeth are staying where they should.

Can I use insurance or financing for Invisalign?

Yes, many patients combine insurance benefits with financing. We accept all major PPO insurance plans, and some PPO plans include orthodontic benefits. Our team can review your coverage with you so you know what to expect before you begin.

We also welcome self-pay patients. To spread the cost over time, we offer CareCredit, 0% and low-interest financing options, and all major credit cards. We will walk you through these choices at your visit so you can pick the one that fits your budget.
