All-on-X Dental Implants

All-on-X Dental Implants

All-on-X dental implants replace a full arch of missing or failing teeth with a fixed set of teeth supported by a small number of implants, and they are designed for adults and seniors who are tired of loose dentures or are facing the loss of most of their remaining teeth. At Advanced Dentistry of Coral Springs, we offer the All-on-4 approach, where a full arch is anchored to four implants. Dr. Renan Buitrago, DDS, plans and restores each case himself in our office on North University Drive.

"All-on-X" is a general name for full-arch treatments that rely on a set number of implants rather than one implant per tooth. With All-on-4, four implants are placed in the jaw. A complete arch of teeth is then attached to them. You do not remove these teeth at night the way you would a conventional denture. Our dentist removes them when they need professional care.

This option can make sense for a range of situations. Here are some of the patients we often talk with about All-on-4:

  • Denture wearers whose lower or upper denture slips, rubs, or makes eating difficult
  • Patients with several failing teeth who would otherwise move to a full denture
  • People with a mix of old crowns, bridges, and decay who want one coordinated plan
  • Seniors who want a fixed option and prefer to work with one doctor from start to finish

Your first visit begins with a conversation and a thorough exam with Dr. Buitrago. He is a prosthodontist, a dentist with three additional years of specialty training in replacing and restoring teeth. He earned dental degrees from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2000 and New York University in 2008. He completed NYU's advanced program in prosthodontics and dental implants, and then a three-year prosthodontics residency at New York Hospital Queens, affiliated with Cornell University. He is a Gersten Award recipient and has owned this Coral Springs practice since 2014.

During that visit, we look at your bone, gums, bite, and any remaining teeth. Some patients need gum disease treatment first. Others may need bone grafting or extractions as part of the plan. We do these in our office. We also talk about whether a full arch is right for you, or whether implant-supported dentures, bridges, or a conventional denture would fit your needs better. You will see the same doctor at every visit, so the person who plans your teeth is the person who places them.

Can I get new teeth on the same day?

In many cases, yes. We offer Teeth In A Day, which means a temporary arch can often be attached shortly after the implants are placed. Whether this works for you depends on what we find at your exam and on the day of treatment.

Comfort is a common concern, and we take it seriously. We offer oral sedation for patients who feel anxious about dental work. Our on-site dental lab also helps us. Dr. Buitrago works closely with the lab on the shape, color, and fit of your teeth, without sending that work far away. After a healing period, the temporary arch is replaced with your final set of teeth.

How do I care for All-on-4 implants, and how long do the results last?

All-on-4 teeth need daily cleaning and regular professional visits, much like natural teeth. How long they last depends on your health, your habits, and how well you keep up with that care.

At home, you will brush your new teeth and clean around the implants and under the arch. We show you how before you leave. In our office, our hygienist sees you for regular cleanings and checks, and Dr. Buitrago reviews your bite and the health of the gums around the implants. If something chips, loosens, or feels different, call us. We offer emergency appointments, and because the lab is on site, many repairs can be handled here.

The goal is a fixed set of teeth that lets you chew with more confidence, speak clearly, and smile without worrying about a denture shifting. Results vary from person to person. We will be honest with you about what is realistic for your mouth.

How can I pay for All-on-4 treatment?

We accept all major PPO insurance plans and self-pay patients, and we offer several financing options. During your consultation, we give you a written treatment plan so you can see each phase clearly.

Coverage for implants varies widely between plans. Our front office team can file your claims and help you understand what your plan may contribute. For the remaining balance, we offer CareCredit, 0% and low-interest financing, and all major credit cards. Many patients spread the cost over time this way.

Patients come to us from Coral Springs, Parkland, Coconut Creek, Margate, Tamarac, and nearby communities across Broward and Palm Beach counties. If you are wondering whether All-on-4 is right for you, we would be glad to talk it through. Call our office at 2232 N University Drive, Suite B, in Coral Springs to schedule a consultation with Dr. Buitrago. We will listen, examine, and explain your options in plain terms.
