Serving Boca Raton

If you live in Boca Raton and a cracked tooth, a loose partial, or a denture that no longer fits is making meals harder than they should be, our Coral Springs office offers comprehensive dentistry for adults and seniors, with specialty care for crowns, bridges, dentures and implants. Many Boca Raton patients come to us after years of patchwork repairs. They want one dentist who can look at the whole picture and plan care that holds up.
Your first appointment starts with a dental exam and a conversation. Dr. Renan Buitrago listens first. He asks what bothers you, what you have tried before, and what you hope to change. Then he examines your teeth, gums, bite and any existing crowns, bridges or dentures to see how everything works together.
Boca Raton patients often tell us they have seen several offices and met a different provider each time. Here, you see the same doctor at every visit. Dr. Buitrago has owned and run this practice on North University Drive since 2014. The person who examines you is the same person who plans your treatment and completes it. For families in Boca Raton, that continuity is a large part of why the drive to Coral Springs feels worthwhile.
We provide general and family dentistry for teens, adults, parents and grandparents. Routine care includes dental cleanings with our hygienist, exams, fillings, composite bonding and preventive dentistry. When a tooth is damaged, we offer crowns, bridges and root canal therapy on front teeth, premolars and molars, along with simple and surgical extractions.
Some needs are less routine. We treat gum disease with scaling and root planing and follow up with periodontal maintenance. We also offer emergency dental appointments for urgent problems. For patients who feel anxious, oral sedation is available. Cosmetic options include teeth whitening in the office or at home, porcelain veneers, Invisalign and smile makeovers.
Specialty Restorative Care, Planned and Completed In-House
Dr. Buitrago is a prosthodontist, a dentist with three additional years of specialty training in replacing and restoring teeth. He earned dental degrees from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2000 and New York University in 2008. He completed NYU's advanced program in prosthodontics and dental implants. He then finished a three-year prosthodontics residency at New York Hospital Queens, affiliated with Cornell University, and received the Gersten Award.
That training shapes how we handle more involved cases. A Boca Raton patient who needs a new partial, complete dentures, single dental implants, implant-supported bridges or full mouth rehabilitation does not get referred out for the restorative work. Dr. Buitrago plans and restores these cases in our office. Our on-site dental lab also lets us repair or replace existing dentures without sending them away. When a case calls for another specialist, he coordinates the treatment plan so your care stays organized.
What to Expect After Treatment
Aftercare is where good dentistry proves itself. After a crown, bridge, denture or implant restoration, we check your bite and comfort at follow-up visits and make adjustments as needed. New dentures and partials often need small refinements as your mouth settles. We plan for those visits from the start.
Here is what Boca Raton families can expect from us over time:
- The same dentist at every appointment, from first exam through follow-up
- Treatment explained in plain language, with time for your questions
- Regular cleanings and periodontal maintenance to protect the work you have invested in
- Denture adjustments and repairs supported by our on-site lab
- Emergency appointments when something breaks or hurts unexpectedly
Keeping up with cleanings and exams also lets us spot small problems early. A worn filling or a crown edge that needs attention is easier to address before it becomes an emergency.
Insurance, Financing and Getting Started
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and welcome self-pay patients. Because Dr. Buitrago is a prosthodontist, we file insurance claims as a specialist where that applies. Our team will review your benefits with you before treatment so you know what to expect.
For care that extends beyond what insurance covers, we offer CareCredit, 0% and low-interest financing options, and accept all major credit cards. We will go over your choices so you can move forward with a plan that fits your budget.
Getting started is simple. You do not need a referral to see Dr. Buitrago. Call our office or request an appointment, and our team will help you schedule an exam. Bring any recent X-rays, a list of medications, and your insurance information if you have it. If you wear dentures or a partial, bring those too. Our office is at 2232 N University Drive, Suite B, Coral Springs, FL 33071, and we look forward to caring for you and your family from Boca Raton.
