Serving Tamarac

Advanced Dentistry of Coral Springs provides comprehensive dentistry for adults and seniors in Tamarac, from routine cleanings and fillings to crowns, dentures and dental implants. If you live in Tamarac and are dealing with a cracked tooth, a partial that no longer fits, or dental work you have put off for years, you likely want one office that can handle all of it. We are a solo practice at 2232 N University Drive, Suite B, in Coral Springs, and every patient sees the same dentist at every visit.
Many of our Tamarac patients tell us they were tired of being sent from office to office. One place cleaned their teeth, another made their crown, and a third handled the extraction. Each visit meant new paperwork and a new set of opinions. We work differently. Dr. Renan Buitrago, DDS, plans and restores your care in-house, so the person who examines you is the person who completes your treatment.
Dr. Buitrago is a prosthodontist, a dentist with three additional years of specialty training in replacing and restoring teeth. That training matters most when a case gets complicated. Missing teeth, worn bite surfaces or failing older dental work can be planned and finished here by a specialist instead of being referred out. Dr. Buitrago has owned this Coral Springs practice since 2014. Tamarac residents make the trip because they want that continuity and that level of training under one roof. Dr. Buitrago and our team also speak Spanish.
Our everyday care covers the needs of teens, adults, parents and grandparents. Preventive dentistry includes dental exams, professional cleanings with our hygienist, and periodontal maintenance for patients managing gum health. When gum disease is present, we offer scaling and root planing to clean below the gumline.
Restorative dentistry includes fillings, composite bonding, crowns, bridges and root canal therapy on front teeth, premolars and molars. We perform both simple and surgical extractions when a tooth cannot be saved. For cosmetic concerns, we offer porcelain veneers, in-office and take-home teeth whitening, Invisalign, and smile makeover planning. When something goes wrong unexpectedly, such as a broken tooth or sudden pain, we offer emergency dental appointments. Patients who feel anxious about treatment can ask about oral sedation.
Dentures, Partials and Tooth Replacement
Tooth replacement is the center of Dr. Buitrago's specialty training. We make conventional complete and partial dentures, and we repair or replace existing dentures that have become loose or uncomfortable. We also provide crowns and bridges for patients who want a fixed option. Our on-site dental lab lets us manage the details of your restoration closely, without depending entirely on an outside lab.
For patients who want more stability, we offer dental implants for single teeth, implant-supported bridges and implant-supported dentures, along with bone grafting when added support is needed. Full-mouth rehabilitation, including full arch and All-on-4 approaches, is available for patients whose needs call for it. Dr. Buitrago earned DDS degrees from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2000) and New York University (2008), completed NYU's advanced program in prosthodontics and dental implants, and finished a three-year prosthodontics residency at New York Hospital Queens, affiliated with Cornell. He is also a recipient of the Gersten Award.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first appointment focuses on understanding where things stand and what you want from your care. We do not rush to a treatment plan. Dr. Buitrago examines your teeth and gums, reviews any concerns, and explains your options in plain language. You do not need a referral to see him.
Here is what a typical first visit includes:
- A review of your dental and medical history
- A comprehensive dental exam with Dr. Buitrago
- A conversation about any pain, missing teeth or older dental work
- A clear explanation of your treatment options and their order
- Time for questions about insurance and payment
If you need several kinds of work, we map out a sequence that makes sense for your health and schedule. Complex cases are planned in-house, and Dr. Buitrago coordinates with other specialists when a case requires it.
Insurance, Financing and Getting Started
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and file claims on your behalf. Because Dr. Buitrago is a prosthodontist, we file claims as a specialist where that applies. Patients without insurance are welcome as self-pay patients, and our front office team can walk you through what to expect before treatment begins.
For larger treatment plans, we offer CareCredit, 0% and low-interest financing options, and accept all major credit cards. These options let many Tamarac patients move forward with needed care in stages that fit their budget.
To get started, contact our office and let our team know you are a new patient. Tell us what prompted your call, whether it is a routine cleaning, a denture concern or a tooth that is bothering you. We will find a time that works for you at our office on N University Drive in Coral Springs.
